The record places the discovery in a WWF-managed wood near Fregene: the best-known area with this type of name, Macchiagrande, is however associated more closely with Cerveteri and Ladispoli. No contemporary press coverage has been found under either hypothesis. Anyone who knows the exact name of the wooded area, or recalls the event, can help identify the correct location.
